Bon-Vivant Equestrian Import Co. proudly announces new sponsorship with Heather Blitz and Paragon
Bon-Vivant Equestrian Import Company, a USA Distributor of fine horse tack and equipment announced in September 2011 that they will be a sponsor for the well known horse and accomplished dressage team, Heather Blitz and Paragon.

Heather and Paragon Named
2012 U.S.A. Dressage Team Alternates!

"I'm thrilled with the opportunity to participate as a member of the Olympic squad, It's a great honor and a privilege for Paragon and me to be selected. And I believe it's the best possible situation for a young horse to benefit from this exposure," said Blitz. "We gained invaluable experience on the Pan American Games team last year which will stand us in good stead for this next adventure."

Blitz and her chestnut gelding have become a crowd favorite and now have a  tremendous fan base. "I'm enormously grateful to everyone who has supported us in so many ways with fund raising efforts, and my generous sponsors and donors who have made our Olympic campaign possible. It takes a huge effort to make this journey and I'm very fortunate to have this support. The next few weeks will be a great adventure and I'm so proud of Paragon for getting this far already. He is a wonderful partner with a great personality, and he's also a bit of a ham who enjoys the attention," said  Blitz.

Heather will take Paragon to some events whilst in England and is planning to compete at the famous Hickstead Showground in Sussex.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Heather and a big pat on the neck to Paragon...
Double Pan American Games medalist, Heather Blitz and Paragon won the Wellington Classic CDI3* Freestyle at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, FL on March 17, 2012 giving them their first victory at Grand Prix level with a score of 75.360%. The U.S. bred nine year old Danish Warmblood gelding (Don Shufro - Pari Lord) has made the change seamlessly and with extraordinary confidence from the Small Tour last October when they won the team gold and individual silver at the Pan American Games to their debut in Grand Prix.

Heather summed up their win acknowledging Paragon's incredible maturity: "He was amazing in the freestyle. It was definitely a personal best on how he felt in the ring, he was so powerful and really supple. I think he enjoyed quite a bit being under the lights and being at night, he just had himself in such a great place; a combination of power and energy, and also relaxation and confidence. The freestyle went really well from beginning to end and it all stayed very coordinated with the music and perfect timing. It's such a beautiful freestyle that it's easy for me just to ride in a way that really puts positive energy into it and I think he really picked that up from me. The facility is so fantastic at the Global Dressage Festival that it's a nice place to be. The footing is perfect and we love being there so the whole experience was fantastic, and I just hope I can keep up that kind of performance."

The video of their Freestyle performance is available on Heather's YouTube Channel at Heather & Paragon's Freestyle.

Another Must See Video...
If you've never seen Heather and Paragon, you're in for a treat.  Here is the video of their winning CDI3 Freestyle at the Global Dressage Festival on March 17, 2012...

"Our mission is to bring breathtaking and unique quality horse tack to the market at affordable prices.  The timing of this sponsorship is perfect as it creates a fabulous opportunity for us to demonstrate the beauty and performance of our new dressage tack collections.  Additionally, our ranges will nicely compliment Heather and Paragon's existing professional look as they develop their successful and venerable dressage career,” says Meeghan Baumler, Director of Bon-Vivant Equestrian Import Company.

Paragon is Heather's very own horse.  She raised him herself as a baby and now, the Danish Warmblood baby that she helped stand up when he was born has grown into a prospective superstar. The eight-year-old by Blue Hors Don Schufro out of Pari Lord by Loran, a bright chestnut, is no longer gangly standing at 18 hands tall!  And as Heather is well over six feet (1.8m), the pair are well matched.

Paragon, will look elegant and polished in dressage bridles and browbands custom designed for the pair using genuine Swarovski crystals.  Paragon, will be fashioned in custom fitted tack from multiple manufacturer's distributed by Bon-Vivant Equestrian.  They will also wear english saddle pads and sheepskin pads in coordinating colors to accentuate Paragon's beautiful chestnut coat.
Meeghan added, "Paragon is so gorgeous, he truly doesn't need flashy equipment to accentuate his show-stopping elegance.  However, we are still excited and proud to outfit him with our best new dressage products as well as exclusive bridles and browbands designed especially for them."
Heather Blitz and Paragon are an exciting pair to watch.  These athletes are truly a sight to behold and many regard them as the next Totilas to represent the USA for many years to come.
Heather stated, "Bon-Vivant Equestrian offers so many beautiful and well made products from which to choose.  Paragon needs to look his absolute best and he certainly does in his spiffy wardrobe which is really eye-catching. He is an exceptionally striking horse so these glamorous products will certainly accentuate his features. I'm really looking forward to showing him with his new outfits and want to thank Bon-Vivant Equestrian for their support and for making us look good."

U.S.A. Dressage Team Cleans Up at the 2011 Pan Am Games...

Heather and Paragon had a very successful trip to Mexico.  They came home with a gold medal for the team test and a silver medal for the individual tests.  Team USA took the podium with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the individual tests.  The United States’ sweep of an unprecedented fourth straight Nations Cup victory and all three individual medals was a first for any country in dressage in the 60-year history of the Pan American Games.

Heather and Paragon came close to the individual gold medal at the Pan American Games.  They laid down a score of 86.65% in the freestyle.  It was the kind of test that prompted the audience to burst into spontaneous applause.

Heather Blitz and Paragon placed reserve champion of the small tour at the USEF Collecting Gaits Festival of Champions in September 2011.  Paragon pulled off a stellar performance all three days of competition and placed 2nd behind the favorite veteran rider, Steffen Peters in all three classes.

This placement secured them a spot on the U.S.A. Pan Am Dressage Team in Guadalajara, Mexico in October 2011.  It is the pair's first chance to represent the USA in an international championship.

Heather and Paragon will depart next week for Gladstone, NJ for the USEF Festival of Champions, National Championships and Selection Trials for the Pan American Games. The dates are September 8th - 11th, 2011.  Paragon and Heather qualified for the trials and are ranked second in the nation behind Steffen Peters on Weltinoʼs Magic and ahead of 14 other horse rider combinations.  The three days of competition will determine the team of three who will go to Mexico in October for the Pan American Games.  They compete, starting with no advantage as far as their current ranking, combining scores from the Prix St. Georges on Thursday, the Intermediare 1 on Friday and the Intermediare Freestyle on Sunday.
