When it comes time to make decisions of who our next Sponsored Rider(s) will be, it is not an easy task.
However, Mackinzie made our decision pretty easy as she stood out in the stack of successful riders because of her Brand Loyalty... She already owned many of our products and was actively enjoying them and showing in them.
About Mackinzie...
Mackinzie has been riding and competing in dressage for 10+ years. She is 19 years old and has competed internationally with her Oldenburg Mare, "Jonkara". This pair has had many great accomplishments such as being a 4-Time Individual Medalist at the NAJYRC as well as the 2010 National Young Rider Reserve Champion and the 2008 Reserve National Champion in the Junior Division.
Mackinzie had to retire her mount Jonkara last
year. Brigadier is her new 17.3 Oldenburg mount. Brigadier basically
came out of a field and recently started back into work with Mackinzie.
We are so impressed with how well this pair is starting off their
relationship. Brigadier is talented, big and beautiful. We are certain these two will prove very successful.
Mackinzie also just purchased a second horse, a young mare from Germany named Starlet M. Mackinzie is diligently pursuing her goal of qualifying her new prospect for future competition. Starlet M. sustained a recently injury and is currently in rehab to make a healthy recovery.
As you can see, Miss Pooley is a very dedicated and driven young rider. She is incredibly motivated at a young age all while maintaining a 4.4 GPA and while commuting 1 and a 1/2 hours each way to ride! We couldn't be more impressed with the work ethic of this young lady.
Recent News on Mackinzie...
We would like to extend a big hug to our Sponsored Young Rider Mackinzie Pooley and her mount Brigadier. They competed in April at the Del Mar National CDI3 Young Riders Competition. They placed 2nd overall with an average score of 73%! This score has qualified them on their journey towards the Young Riders World Cup.

recently competed at the Rancho Valencia Dressage Affair CDI*** in Del Mar,
California.After a great showing throughout the weekend they claimed a victory
in the CDI Young Rider freestyle with a 69%.

year old Mackinzie and 20 year old Jonkara captured the individual
bronze medal in the Young Rider (21 and younger) division at the NAJYRC
championship in Kentucky in July. They scored 70.4% to take 3rd place.
NAJYRC represents the top 50 dressage riders from the US and Canada in
the young rider division. This was Jonkara's last international
competition as she enters retirement.

Miss Pooley has a successful resume as a young dressage rider. In 2011 she rode her mare "Jonkara" in an International (CDI) Show at Del Mar and won the YR Individual Test and the Freestyle with an impressive 69.7%.
